How to Get Free Shipping on AliExpress Without Spending Extra
You don’t always need a promo code to get free shipping on AliExpress. Several shopping features can help you reduce delivery costs without paying more than necessary.
1. Shop AliExpress Choice Deals
AliExpress Choice is a shopping option that highlights selected products and delivery services.
Some Choice products include free shipping or qualify for delivery promotions. However, shipping benefits depend on the destination, order value, product, and current offer.
Here’s how to find eligible products:
- Search for the product you want.
- Look for the Choice label.
- Check the shipping information on the product page.
- Compare the final price with other sellers.
- Confirm the delivery charge before checkout.
A product with free shipping isn’t always the cheapest option. Compare the total cost rather than focusing only on the shipping label.
2. Collect Seller Coupons Before Ordering
Many AliExpress sellers offer their own coupons.
You may find these discounts directly on product pages, store pages, or promotional banners.
To collect seller coupons:
- Open the product page.
- Check the available coupon section.
- Select the coupon you want.
- Review its minimum spending requirement.
- Add eligible products to your cart.
Seller coupons can reduce your purchase price, leaving more room in your budget for shipping.
Keep in mind that seller coupons usually apply to eligible products from that seller. They may not work across different stores.
3. Check Free Shipping Thresholds
Some AliExpress sellers offer free shipping when your order reaches a specific amount.
For example, a seller might offer free shipping on orders above a certain threshold. The actual amount depends on the seller and destination.
Before increasing your order value, compare the additional product cost with the shipping savings.
If you need another item anyway, reaching the threshold may make sense. Buying something unnecessary just to qualify for free shipping can cost more than paying the original delivery fee.
4. Use AliExpress Coins and Rewards
AliExpress Coins may provide additional savings on eligible products or promotional offers.
You can sometimes collect coins through the AliExpress app and use them during qualifying purchases.
To check available rewards:
- Open the AliExpress mobile app.
- Visit the Coins or rewards section.
- Review the available activities.
- Check which products qualify for coin discounts.
- Apply eligible rewards before completing your purchase.
Coin discounts aren’t available on every product, and their value or redemption conditions can change.
Always check the final checkout price to see whether using coins provides a meaningful discount.
5. Check AliExpress First Order Discounts
New customers may qualify for a first-order discount or welcome offer.
These promotions can help reduce the cost of your first purchase. Some offers apply automatically, while others require a coupon or promotional code.
If you’re a new customer:
- Check the welcome offer displayed on AliExpress.
- Review the minimum purchase requirement.
- Confirm whether the discount applies to your country.
- Check whether the offer includes shipping or only reduces the product price.
An AliExpress first order discount code may provide a better saving than a regular coupon, but eligibility is usually limited to qualifying new accounts.
6. Compare Shipping Options From Different Sellers
The same product may be available from several sellers with different delivery costs.
One seller might offer a lower product price with paid shipping. Another might charge slightly more but include free delivery.
Compare:
- Product price
- Shipping fee
- Estimated delivery time
- Tracking availability
- Seller ratings
- Return conditions
This approach helps you find the best deal without relying entirely on promo codes.
7. Check Seasonal Shopping Promotions
AliExpress regularly runs promotional campaigns throughout the year.
Popular events include:
- Anniversary Sale
- 11 Singles’ Day Sale
- Black Friday
- Cyber Monday
- Summer shopping promotions
- Year-end sales
During these events, you may find seller coupons, platform discounts, free shipping promotions, and limited-time offers.
Check our AliExpress 11.11 Sale page for additional seasonal deals.

Why Your AliExpress Coupon Might Not Work (And How to Fix It)
An AliExpress coupon code can fail for several reasons. Before giving up on the discount, check these common problems.
Your Order Doesn’t Meet the Minimum Spending Requirement
Some coupon codes require you to spend a certain amount.
For example, a discount may apply only when your eligible order reaches the required minimum.
Fix: Check your eligible product subtotal and add qualifying items if needed. Make sure the minimum spending requirement is met before shipping or other charges, if the coupon terms specify that.
The Coupon Has Expired
AliExpress promo codes often have limited validity.
A coupon may stop working after its expiration date or when the available promotional allocation runs out.
Fix: Check the expiration date and look for a currently available replacement code.
The Coupon Doesn’t Apply to Your Products
Some coupons exclude certain products, sellers, categories, or promotional items.
Fix: Review the coupon terms and try it with an eligible product.
The Code Is Restricted to Your Region
AliExpress promotions may vary by country or delivery destination.
A code available in one region may not work in another.
Fix: Confirm that the promotion supports your shipping destination. Check the country restrictions before using the coupon.
The Coupon Is Only for New Customers
Some welcome discounts are limited to eligible first-time buyers.
Fix: Check whether your account qualifies for the offer. Don’t assume a first-order coupon will work on an existing account.
You Entered the Code Incorrectly
Extra spaces, incorrect characters, or typing errors can prevent a coupon from working.
Fix: Copy the code directly from the promotional source and paste it into the checkout field.
The Coupon Cannot Be Combined With Other Discounts
Certain AliExpress promo codes cannot be combined with other platform discounts.
Fix: Compare the available offers and select the combination that gives you the lowest final order total.
Shipping Is Still Charged After Applying the Coupon
A discount code may reduce the product price without covering delivery.
Fix: Check the shipping terms separately. Look for products with free shipping, seller shipping promotions, or a qualifying delivery offer.
